Obituary of Francis Leland Bingham

FRANCIS L. BINGHAM age 80 passed away peacefully at Alden Estates in Jefferson.  He was born on September 24, 1943, in Richland Center, Wisconsin to Orval and Sarah (Olson) Bingham.

He drove trucks for Hawthorn Melody, Fort Transport, Larson Canning, and several other trucking companies over the years.  Francis also worked for Mid-State Auto until his health failed.  He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and Sprint Car racing, and working on race cars with his son.  He was an avid Green Bay Packer, Wisconsin Badger, and Atlanta Braves fan.  Francis served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his family, son Michael (Lynn) Bingham of Milton, daughter Kelly (Mike) Drays of Milton. Grandchildren, Christopher (Makenzie) Drays, Matthew (Mariah) Drays, Tyler (Briann) Bingham, Jessica (Travis Schultz) Bingham.   Great grandchildren, Aubree Drays, Allie Drays, Bryson Drays, Mackenna Drays, Tyson Bingham, Korbyn Bingham.  Sister, Phyllis Krueger of Janesville, Mary (Dennis) Brandt of Fort Atkinson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jane Bingham, sisters Cari Stone, Linda Bingham, and brother-in-law Gerry Krueger.

Memorial services will be held on 11:00 on Saturday November 25, 2023, at the Schneider-Michaelis funeral home, with a visitation from 9:00-11:00 at the funeral home.  With Military Honors to follow the service.

The burial will take place at a later date.
