Obituary of Donald E. Kanzenbach

DONALD E. KANZENBACH, age 87 of Jefferson passed away on August 19, 2022, at Sylvan Crossings in Jefferson. 

He was born on May 3, 1935, in Beaver Dam, WI to Fred and Laura (Haack) Kanzenbach. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School.  He married Doris Nagel on October 15, 1955 in Hustisford, WI.

Donald worked for the Eaton Corporation for 30 years as a supervisor, as well as working part-time in Real Estate, and Insurance.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing card and traveling and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson.

He is survived by his wife, Doris of Jefferson, and daughter Dawn (Rick) Schauss of Eau Claire, WI, grandsons Bryan Tolan, Kurt Schauss and Shane Schauss.  Special nephew Richard Kanzenbach.

He was preceded by his parents, daughter Donna Lyn Tolan and brothers Harold, Norman and Paul Kanzenbach.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 23, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran church in Jefferson with the Rev. Matthew Krenke officiating burial will follow in the Christberg cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 9:30-11:00 a.m.

Memorials in Donald’s name may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to Rainbow hospice.
