Obituary of Catherine A. Staedter

CATHERINE A. STAEDTER, age 81 of Jefferson passed away Saturday April 13, 2019 at Sunset Ridge in Jefferson.  She was born on August 29, 1937 in West Allis, Wisconsin to Cyril and Kathryn (Luehrman) Mescher.  She married Richard E. Staedter on August 18, 1956 they were together for over 50 years before his passing on April 11, 2008.

Catherine was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Mukwonago for many years.  Her love of cooking, baking, cake decorating and gardening provided many of us with full bellies and fond memories.

She is survived by her family; son Rick (Debbie) Staedter, daughter Debra (Bob) Reimer, sons Ted (Polly) Staedter, Steve (Kerri) Staedter.  Grandchildren; Jeremiah Schroeder, Justin Staedter, Jessica Staedter, Jamie Staedter, Chelsea (Greg) Gorsuch, and Annika Staedter.  Great-grandchildren, Aiden Schroeder, Jameson Gorsuch.  Her siblings; Tom Mescher, Ginger Hinderaker. Step-Grandchildren; Steve Reimer, Jacob Kruse, Quentin Kruse and Wyatt Ruhland.

She is preceded in death by; her parents, husband “Dick” Staedter, brother Cy Mescher, sister Mary Gardner.

She leaves behind many friends and family from the Mukwonago area where she was involved with the Women’s groups, bowling, ceramics and many other activities at St. James.

Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 23, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating.  Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m.-12:45 p.m. with Mass at 1:00 p.m.
