Obituary of Edward Thomas

EDWARD KEELING THOMAS JR. age 90 was taken to his eternal home on September 7, 2010. Ed was born February 16, 1920 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the only child of Edward K. Thomas Sr. and Annie (Henderson) Thomas As a child Ed attended Linton Hall School, a residential school for boys in Bristow, Virginia. It was here that Ed was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. At the age of eighteen, Ed moved to St. Coletta of Jefferson, WI. He worked on the grounds as well as with construction. Ed's last job before retirement was as a mail carrier for the St. Coletta campus. Ed's faith was extremely important to him. He was a dedicated member of The Third Order of St. Francis for decades. Ed spent leisure time traveling, drawing, and enjoying opera. He enriched the lives of those who had the chance to know him. Ed appreciated the loving kindness of those living and working at St. Isidore, as well as his extended St. Coletta family. St. Isidore, Care Wisconsin and Rainbow Hospice helped Ed stay at home until his death. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. at St Lawrence Parish, W4875 Highway 18, Jefferson. A visitation will start at 2:30 p.m., with a Time of Remembrance at 3:45p.m on Thursday, September 9, 2010.
