Obituary of Lucille Mary Schoonover

LUCILLE M. SCHOONOVER age 72 of Lake Mills passed away Thursday August 12, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born November 7, 1938 in the town of Aztalan daughter of the late, Alfred and Elsie (Tews) Rupprecht. She married Albert Schoonover on November 6, 1954 at East Koshkonong Lutheran church in Cambridge. He preceded her in death in February of 1997. Lucille was employed at Hartwig's Processing Plant, and she also worked as a waitress and hostess at local restaurants. She enjoyed volunteering for the Wisconsin Special Olympics. She will be deeply missed by her children; Ray (Sue Emmrich) Schoonover of Jefferson. Steven Schoonover of Whitewater, Richard Schoonover of Sacramento California, Jeffery Schoonover of Jefferson. 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Two brothers; George Rupprecht of Oconomowoc, and Donald Rupprecht of Aztalan. She is also preceded in death by three daughters; Donna Cruz, Diane Rodriguez, and Karen Schoonover. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson, with the Rev. Bruce A. McKenney officiating burial will follow in the Oak Hill cemetery in Janesville Wisconsin. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial may be directed to Wisconsin Special Olympics. Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson is assisting the family with arrangements.
