Obituary of Patrick Donald French

PATRICK D. FRENCH age 74 of Jefferson passed away on Thursday June 10, 2010 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born December 16, 1935 in Butternut Wisconsin, son of the late Raymond and Celesta (Teske) French. He married Virginia Schuld on June 1, 1957 at St. Lawrence Catholic church in Jefferson She preceded him in death on July 19, 2009. Patrick was employed at Stoppenbach Meat Plant for many years. Prior to that he and his wife lived in Seattle Washington where he was employed at a custom upholstery company. They settled back in the Jefferson area in 1963. Pat loved to travel in their mobile home, and enjoyed vacationing with family and friends. He was a huge Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed golfing and taking care of his yard. Following his retirement he always enjoyed meeting his friends for morning coffee at many local restaurants. Patrick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and he will be deeply missed by his son; Patrick (Lynn) French of Eagle. Three grandchildren; Nicole (Brandon) Steenbock, Samuel (Elizabeth) French, and Zachary French. Two great-grand children; Athan, Paladin Steenbock. One brother; James "Jim" (Rosemarie) French of Oregan. He is also preceded in death by 6 brothers; Bill, Raymond Jr. Bob, Leo, Tom, Carl and two sisters; Gladys, and Lucille. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday June 15, 2010 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. John Urban officiating, burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson, and then again in the morning at the church from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m Monday evening at the funeral home.
