Obituary of Francis Heble Kuehn

FRANCIS "FRITZ" H. KUEHN age 90 of Jefferson passed away Monday December 7, 2009. he was born January 25, 1919 in Lake Mills, son of the late Charles and Alma(Heble) Kuehn. He married Ruth Griese on October 20, 1951 at Chicago Illinois; she preceded him in death on September 26, 2009. Fritz had been employed at Schweiger Industries, and he was retired from the Jefferson County Highway Department. He served in the United States Army during WWII, and was a member of the AMERICAN LEGION POST 164-REINHARDT-WINDL. He is survived by nieces; Diane (Robert) Gilpatrick of Florida, Eileen Kuehn of Madison Christine (John) Schrank of Reedsburg, Kathleen (Randy) Miller of Jefferson, Janet Wickersham of Waukesha. Nephews; James (Bunny) Kuehn of Jefferson, Dan (Karen) Mittag of Fall Creek, Mark (Joan) Mittag of Fort Atkinson, many great nieces, and nephews other relatives and many friends. Special friends, Lynn and Carol Wilke. He is preceded in death by four brothers; Merlin, Harlan, Maynard, and Charles, nephew Charles, Kuehn and Niece Marika Mittag. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Military honors will also be held at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery in Rome. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00a.m. until the time of services.
