Obituary of Erika Hattie JESKE

ERIKA H. JESKE age 95 of Jefferson, passed away Sunday November 22, 2009 at Countryside Nursing home in Jefferson. She was born March 15, 1914 in Essen, Germany, daughter of the late Conrad and Augusta (Rohde) Dey. She married Arthur Jeske in March of 1932; he preceded her in death on September 9, 1988. Erika was employed at Thomas Industries in Fort Atkinson from 1943-1952. From 1952-1959 Erika and Arthur owned the, 'Jeske Feed Store' in Eland, Wisconsin. She was then employed at Schweiger Industries from 1959 until her retirement in 1976. She was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Beloit, Wisconsin, she was also a member of the Over 50's Club where she served as Treasure, and the Jefferson AARP for many years. She will be deeply missed by her children; Adela "Toots" (James) Koch of Fort Atkinson, James (Karen) Jeske of Jefferson. Her 9 grandchildren; Dennis (Kathie) Koch, Richard (Rita) Koch, Darryl (Ingrid) Koch, Gary (Roxanne) Koch, Michael Koch, Barb (Matt) Johnson, Becky (Pete) Downey, Jon Jeske, Michelle Heiman, Dana Schuld. 11 Great-grandchildren, 12 great great-grandchildren. One sister; Elsie Jung of Jefferson. She is also preceded in death by her brother Ervin Dey, and great-grandson Trevor Koch. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday November 27th, 2009 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson, with the Rev. Raymond Schoeller officiating, burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday at the Funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
