Obituary of Ann Catherine Peirick

ANN C. PEIRICK age 95, of Jefferson, passed away on Thursday January 17th, at The Glen in Whitewater She was born on August 11, 1912 in Tripp South Dakota daughter of the late James A. and Anne (Byron) Naughton. She married Lawrence Peirick on August 23, 1941 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown; he preceded her in death on April 6th 1989. Ann was a homemaker her entire life, she loved to bake and cook for her family. She enjoyed gardening and loved to grow flowers. She was an avid reader and bird watcher, and a fan of Western movies, and was very proud of her Irish heritage. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson and the St. Anne Society. She volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul for many years. She is survived by one daughter; Marilyn (Francis) Purtell of Fort Atkinson One son James L. Peirick of House Springs MO 8 grandchildren; Dawn (Bill) White, Vicki (Mark) Johnston, Tom (Leanne) Purtell, Angela (Jason) Froemming, Jeff Purtell, Michael (Cynthia) Peirick, Carrie (Chris) Stroup, Steve (Robin) Peirick. 8 great-grandchildren She is also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Gerald, Matthew, James, and 2 sisters, Margaret Froh, and Dolores Stearn. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday January 22, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson with the Rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. There will also be a visitation from 10:00a.m. Until the time of Mass on Tuesday morning at the Church. Memorials may be directed to St. John the Baptist Catholic School.
