Obituary of Beatrice Elizabeth Croft

BEATRICE E. CROFT, 95, of Jefferson, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2008, at Countryside Nursing Home in Jefferson. She was born October 22, 1912, in Naperville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Harold and Alta (Gieske) Stephens. She married William Edgar Croft of Mineral Point, WI, and he preceded her in death in November of 1969. Bea was a homemaker her entire life, a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson, and enjoyed painting, gardening, reading, needlework, and playing bridge. She is survived by two sons: Stephen (Susan) Croft of Poulsbo, WA, and John (Sharon) Croft of Mukwonago, WI. She is further survived by Katherine Croft of Metairie, LA; grand-daughters Dawn (Ruben) Breaux of Huntington Beach, CA, and Lisa Croft of Metairie, LA; and great-grandsons Adam and Bryan Breaux of Huntington Beach, CA. Bea was also preceded in death by Richard, her son, and Isabel, her sister. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 19th at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Private family burial will take place in the Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Memorials may be given to the aviary fund at Countryside Nursing Home in Jefferson.
