Obituary of Nancy Ann WEDL

Nancy A Wedl age 77 of Jefferson Died on September 27, 2007 at home surrounded by her family. Nancy was born June 17, 1930 in Jefferson the daughter of Joseph and Blanche (Bilstad) Schroedl. On May 8, 1954 she was united in marriage with Jerome "Chummy" Wedl in Jefferson. Nancy was a cook for Wedl's Wayside for many years. She enjoyed cooking and she passed her cooking secrets on to her children and grandchildren. It did not take a special occasion for her to whip up her famous recipes for all to enjoy. She enjoyed playing bingo and going gambling with her friends. She is survived by her husband, Jerome "Chummy" of Jefferson, Children; Eric (Roslyn), Linda (Scott) Fischer, Tom (Carol), of Jefferson, and Pat (Jolene) of Fitchburg. Grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony, and Robert Wedl, Danielle (Todd) Clark, Amanda (Matthew) Dieter, and Kori (Kenneth) Sturzl, Travis (Carrie) Burnett, Tyson Burnett and Tim Bakken. Great-grand children Avery, and Rileigh Clark, Elijah, Olivia, and Isaac Dieter, Sisters, Grace (John) Roethle of Watertown, Betty (Carl) Wedl of Jefferson, Brother Eugene (Jean) Schroedl of Cazenovia and a sister -in- law Germaine Schroedl of Jefferson. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Nancy is also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Donald, and sister Mary Jane. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday October 1, 2007 at St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson WI, with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic cemetery. . A visitation will be held at Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson on Sunday September 30, 2007 from 4:00 PM to 7:00PM and on Monday from 11:00AM until time of service. With a Rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church or to Jefferson Rainbow Hospice. Mom, we will miss your contagious laugh and how you enjoyed making us happy with your cooking. Many children will remember you for your delicious treats and famous name "Grandma Beep Beep."
