Obituary of Karl Frank Sutter

KARL FRANK SUTTER, 85 of Jefferson passed away on Saturday, January 29 at Bedrock Heath Care Center in Fort Atkinson.

Karl was born in Akron Ohio on May 3rd, 1936 to Carl and Ann Sutter. Karl was the oldest of 4 children; his parents and siblings are deceased; sister, Roseanne Sutter and brothers Fred Sutter (died 5/26/09) and Joseph “Joe” Sutter (died 2/4/17).

Karl worked at the St. Coletta farm and was also part of the grounds crew.

He loved talking about motorcycles, riding horses, bowling and being outside.  His favorite place was the Harley Davidson store.

Karl moved to St. Coletta at 9 years of age and remained until he moved from St. Coletta/Alverno on 10/20/09. He made a very good transition to the home of Janelle Jensen and wanted to stay in this home forever. Karl lived at Alverno for most of his life and was so happy to live a more normal life with a family, kids and pets. He enjoyed being part of the family and this match was as close to perfect as possible.

Karl liked to talk about motorcycles with everyone and his bedroom was decorated in Harley Davidson colors, posters and models.

Karl says his favorite thing to do was ride horses; he attended the Smiles program in Delavan every week and talked excitedly about this activity. He loved showing friends the pictures of him on his horse when he rode for the horse show in Elkhorn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Alverno Chapel of the Flowers in Jefferson with Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating.
