Obituary of Darlene Ann Schmidt

DARLENE A. SCHMIDT, age 83 of Johnson Creek, formerly of Montello, passed away at her home in Johnson Creek.  Darlene was born on August 29, 1938 in Ripon, WI to Alfred and Ione (Zimmerman) Pischke.  She worked at Speed Queen in Ripon.

Darlene was an avid sports fan who loved sports of any type.  She loved to watch the Packers, Brewers and Golf shows.  She enjoyed fishing, doing jigsaw puzzles and polka dancing.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek and a long-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Montello.

She is survived by her husband Albert Schmidt of Johnson Creek, daughters Dawn Marcelain of Westfield, Candace (Robert) Sonnenberg of Westfield, Sherri (Garret) Miller of Johnson Creek, and special daughter Judy (Gordon “Bear”) Hoffman of Ripon. Grandchildren Stephanie Marcelain, Jennifer Marcelain, Thomas Marcelain, Jill (Gene) Hamilton, Whitney (Jesse) Nimmer, Kallie Sonnenberg, and special "grandpup" Henry.  Great grandchildren Rylee Menke, Carver Menke, Alythia Rower, Eyon Marcelain, Tommie Marcelain, Ruthie Marcelain, Genevieve Nimmer, Natalee Nimmer, Felicity Nimmer, and A’Lexes Henry.  Brother DuWayne (Linda) Pischke of Neshkoro, sister Sharon Timm of Green Lake. She is preceded in death by her parents, Brother Eugene Pischke, son-in-law Roger Marcelain, and special cousin Carol Kapp.

Private family services will be held at a later date with burial in the East Cemetery in Westfield.
