Holly Rodger

Obituary of Holly Irene Rodger

HOLLY IRENE RODGER age 57 of Jefferson went to heaven surrounded by the love of her family on September 24, 2021.  She was born on October 30, 1963, to Hollis and Sophie (Kabacinski) Rodger.  Holly moved to St Coletta in Jefferson when she was six years old.  She attended school and lived at the old main campus, later moving to St Elizabeth, St Martha’s and the Lourdes homes and at the end of her life, she was living at Padua Heights.

Holly was in the swimming program, Special Olympics when she was younger and swam like a little fish.  She worked out in a St Coletta community-based workshop for many years and enjoyed going to work.  One of her favorite jobs was packing minnows in plastic bottles and was known as the neatest little packer.  Another favorite job she had at St Coletta was wrapping silverware.  She was so proud to help staff prepare meals in the home.  Holly was so sweet, and she loved holding your hand and always had a hug and a smile for everyone.  She loved going to dances at St Coletta and danced the entire time.  Her favorite pastime was to color, write on paper, copy recipes, and watch Barbie and Scooby Doo movies.  Holly enjoyed watching the Brewers, Packers and Bucks games and going on outings.  Holly and her mom had a very special bond.  Holly was always thrilled to go home to her moms and her sister Jeans for Christmas, Thanksgiving, summer vacation or just to spend the weekend.   Each year when her birthday was

approaching she was so excited and told staff she would be getting two cakes from her niece Jane.  She was always excited when her mom, sister, nieces, and family came to see her and took her shopping and out to eat for a cheeseburger, French fries and chicken dumpling soup.  Holly was an angel to her family and the staff at St Coletta.

She will be deeply missed by her family, St Coletta family and the staff at St Coletta.  She is survived by her sister Jean (Louis) Kotlowski, Nieces Jane (Roy) Gervais, Julie (Brent) Goers, Great niece Casey and great nephew Jerik.
