Obituary of Marianne V. Thierry

MARIANNE V. THIERRY, age 87 of Jefferson passed away on May 31, 2021 at Marquart Manor in Watertown.

She was born on June 3, 1933, in San Francisco, California to Henry and Claire (Destruel) Thierry.

Marianne came to the St. Coletta community in 1952 when she was 19 years old.  She enjoyed participating in Special Olympics, watching the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.  Marianne loved to go out for Friday fish fry’s and visiting with her friends and she looked forward to her phone calls from family in California.

Marianne was a deeply religious person. She was an active member of the Coletta Franciscans, attended Mass and received Holy Communion regularly, and prayed the holy rosary.

She is survived by her brother, Henry Thierry of Rancho Mirage, California, and her many friends at St. Coletta.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Chapel on the Alverno campus at 1:00 p.m.

Visitation will be held at the Chapel from 12:30 p.m. until the time of Mass.
