Obituary of Anita Louise Gitzlaff

ANITA L. GITZLAFF age 84 passed away on November 30, 2020 at Jefferson Memory Care in Jefferson.

 Anita was born on March 24, 1936 in Milwaukee to Louise (Bauer) and Elmer Larson. She was married to Kenneth Gitzlaff for 49 years, He preceded her in death on January 15, 2002.

She enjoyed crafts and painting and loved spending time in the garden.  She was a wonderful cook and treasured her time with children and grandchildren.  She had a special place in her heart for all animals.  Anita had a big heart and the kindest soul, she was our family’s Rock.  She was there when anybody needed anything.  She was the kind of person that would “give the shirt off her own back” if that was what it took.  She will be forever cherished, loved and missed by her family; daughters Christine Gitzlaff of Phelps, WI and Katherine Howard of Mukwanago, WI.  Grandchildren, Andrew, William, Hallie, Allie, D.J., Faith, Grace.  Siblings Laverne Weir of Princeton, WI, Virginia “Tootise” Mueller of Fond du Lac, WI, Clarence “Butch” Larson of Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth, Her son Charles “Chucky” and brothers, Elmer, Herbert, Donnie and Bobby.

Services will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Milwaukee at 2:00 p.m. on Monday December 7, 2020 in the chapel of the Flowers.  Visitation will be in the Chapel from 1:00pm until the time of the service.
