Obituary of Joseph Richard Siebert

JOSEPH R. SIEBERT, age 90 of Rome, Wisconsin passed away Wednesday October 28, 2020 at his home in Rome.

He was born on May 31, 1930 in Erie, Minnesota to John and Blanche (Loomis) Siebert. Joseph served in the United States Army from 1949-1952 in Germany and then again from 1952-1958. He was proud of his military service and then his service in the National Guard. He was hard working, having worked as a sandblaster in manufacturing, a construction worker, a maintenance-handyman and a much loved job as a Janitor in McFarland Schools. He loved cars and enjoyed woodworking and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Joseph loved music, playing his harmonica and guitar and dance hall dancing. He enjoyed visiting with friends at local coffee shops. He loved his Grandchildren and loved showering them with gifts of toys and clothing from his bargain shopping sprees. There was no greater joy on his face than when he was bouncing a Grandbaby on his knee. He will be forever loved and missed.

He is survived by his family, children; Kathleen (Kent) Hepler of Portage, Douglas Siebert of Madison, Wendy Siebert of Pardeeville, WI, Diana (Mark) Peterson of Brooklyn, WI,10 grandchildren, 7 Great grandchildren, his brother Gerald (Cathy) Siebert of Wild Rose, WI and many neices and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; John and Blanche, Sisters; Mary Ann , Beverly, and Lois, Brothers; Donald, Warren, Bernard, Merrill, John Jr, William and James.

The Family thanks his Niece Shelly and her family for taking him under their wing and providing a safe and loving home for their Dad to live out the final years of his treasured life. Her love and kindness will be a constant reminder that GOD is always at work in our lives.
