Don and Marlyn were such a great couple. I met them because they had horse tact for sale on the lawn...
Don was always ready with a story that would educate you. He knew so many thing about different subjects...he really did amaze us all. When you went to visit Don you knew you had better have a solid 3 hrs because the time would fly... he'd tell his life story as a young boy and teenager.. his weekly truck deliveries to Chicago and having to give the cops cases of eggs .. or riding a horse to go visit Marlyn...building a small house for his family durring war times...always good times mixed with some hardship that never ever got the two of them down.
They came to the Jefferson fair grounds to watch my daughter show her horse. I was fortunate to be able to call him friend. Now he can hold Marilyn's hand and reminisce about there the good old days.
