Obituary of Karen Marie Johnston

KAREN M. JOHNSTON, age 50 of Jefferson passed away February 24, 2019 at her home in Jefferson.

She was born on October 31, 1968 in Fort Atkinson daughter of the late William and Elinor (Pranke) Johnston.  Karen graduated from Jefferson High School in 1987 she then received an Accounting degree in 1989 from Madison Area Technical College in Watertown.  Karen was employed at the Jefferson Citgo for 20 + years.  She loved her job as a cashier and enjoyed talking with, picking on and getting to know her customers.  She enjoyed crafting and spending time with her family and favorite cats.  She is survived by her brothers; Paul Johnston of Jefferson, Craig (Lynda) Johnston of Pembroke Pines, Florida.  Nieces Anna and Hailey Johnston, Aunt Diane Pranke of Jefferson, Uncle Howard (Christine) Johnston of Indianapolis, IN, many cousins and other relatives and friends.  Goddaughters Elizabeth and Rebecca Godkin. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday March 2, 2019 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating.  Burial will take place in the Aztalan-Milford cemetery in Aztalan.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
