Obituary of John Emmet Hue
JOHN E. HUE, 88, passed away on November 5, 2018 at home, surrounded by the love of family and friends.
John loved his family, reading, learning to use electronic “gadgets”, and cheering on sports teams from his birthplace; Chicago, Illinois. John was a volunteer at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital for 17 years and was a past President of Fort Healthcare Partners.
Prior to moving to Jefferson, John lived on Lake Winnebago in Neenah. He was a Winnebago County Board Supervisor and Board Member of the Neenah library. John worked at The George Banta Company in Menasha for many years prior to his retirement. He received a Masters Degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign under the G.I. Bill. He honorably served our country in 3 Branches of the military; US Naval Reserve (at age 17) then the US Army and US Air Force between 1947-1951. John was stationed in Europe, during post World War II reconstruction.
John had a legendary dry with and sense of humor. He always made us laugh.
