Obituary of Eunice Mary Liebel

EUNICE M. LIEBEL age 77 of Jefferson passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday, September 23, 2018. Eunice was born on November 12, 1940 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, to the late John and Edith (Baker) Huber.

Eunice married Gary W. Liebel on May 8, 1968 in Galena IL. Together they owned and operated Liebel’s Fine Foods and Mr. G’s Dam Site Bar in Jefferson, Wisconsin. Eunice also worked many years in food services with Jefferson County and Countryside Nursing Home in Jefferson, Wisconsin. Eunice dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with each of them. Eunice loved the holidays and enjoyed hosting many memorable and enjoyable family gatherings in her home.

Eunice is survived by her family which includes her husband Gary W. Liebel of Jefferson, Wisconsin, daughters Pamela (Derick) Christiansen of Viroqua, Wisconsin, Jackie Rebman of Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin, Evora (Paul) Williams of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, sons Gene Olson Jr. of Jefferson, Wisconsin and Donald W. Liebel of Muskego, Wisconsin. Eunice is further survived by six grandchildren that include Rachel (Christopher) Skaaland of Sacramento, California, Leonie Storbakken of Sacramento, California, Sage and Calysta Christiansen of Viroqua, Wisconsin and Raimi and Maya Liebel of Muskego, Wisconsin. Eunice is also survived by four siblings that include sisters Karen Carnes of Tucson, Arizona, Rahna Reich of Jefferson, Wisconsin, brothers Gerald Huber of San Francisco, California, Dennis Huber of Branson, Missouri and dear Cousin Sister Rose Martin-Weldgen O.S.F. of Saint Francis, Wisconsin. Eunice has many adoring nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends and acquaintances that she made over the many years of her life.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law, dear sister Arlene “Hubba” Huber and infant son Matthew Olson. It was Eunice’s request that there would be no formal services on her behalf and welcomed each of her loved ones and many friends to celebrate her life as they saw fit. The family asks that in lieu of sending flowers that a donation be made in Eunice’s name to Rainbow Hospice of Johnson’s Creek, Wisconsin.
