Obituary of Michael Kiepert
MICHAEL H KIEPERT age 67 of Jefferson passed away at his home on Sunday June, 24, 2018. He was born on April 9, 1951 in Watertown son of the late Orville and Norma H. (Williams) Kiepert. He graduated from Johnson Creek High School in 1969. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1969-1972. He married Mary Lou McGurk on June 2, 1973 at Lake Mills Catholic Church. He was employed at the Jefferson County Highway Department for 31 ½ years. After his retirement he drove taxi for Brown’s Cab Service for 8 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 164 Reinhardt-Windl. Michael enjoyed playing baseball for the Helenville Rebels, shooting pool, Bartending and bowling and watching Football (Packers & Badgers), Brewers Baseball. He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He liked to watch the birds and loved his Budweiser.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Kiepert of Jefferson, Daughters Sandra “Sandy” Kiepert of Jefferson, Sheri (Mark) Ridgeman of Jefferson, and son Scott (Bethany) Kiepert of Watertown.
Grandchildren Katrina Heine, Rebecca Heine, Isabella Kiepert.
Brothers Robert (Margie) Kiepert of Denver CO, James Kiepert of Freeport, IL, John (Phyllis) Kiepert of Johnson Creek.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents.
Visitation will be at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home on Thursday June 28, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Private family funeral services and burial will be on Friday.
A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at the VFW hall in Jefferson on Friday June 29, 2018 from 3:00-6:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank Rainbow Hospice for all the help over the last few months, especially Amanda, and Kathy.
Memorials in Michael's name may be given to St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Helenville or Rainbow Hospice.
