Obituary of Brenda Lee Nelson
BRENDA L. NELSON, 53, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on June 7, 2018. She was born on April 20, 1965 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Frank and Bonnie (Welch) Fenner. She married Steven Nelson on July 8, 2006 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson. Brenda enjoyed crossword puzzles, and game shows she loved to listen to County Music. Brenda was kind and loved to help others in any way she could. Brenda had two children (James & Melissa (Missy) and two step children (Melissa & Joe) that she loved dearly and would do anything for them. Brenda was married to her husband Steve for a wonderful 12yrs. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going for walks with the love of her life Steve, faithful companion Sparky. Along with family she enjoyed long conversations on the phone with her sister Bridgett. Brenda and her daughter Melissa shared a very special and unique bond together. Brenda worked at the Pine Cone Travel Plaza for 20+yrs. She was a very spunky person who enjoyed to laugh, sing and dance around while listening to music. She was well loved by everyone around her from family to friends to new acquaintances that only got to know her for a short time. She had a special way of touching everyone’s hearts while leaving an everlasting impression on everyone’s hearts. With her lasting impression and in the words of our beloved mother, sister, wife and daughter “keep on fighting”.
She will be deeply missed by her family; Husband Steven Nelson of Jefferson.

Henry (Bonnie) Fenner of Watertown, James Fenner of Amhurst. Her faithful companion Sparky and her grand-dog Demon.
She is preceded in death by her birth parents, and her adopted father Arthur Fenner, sister Wanda Fenner, grandparents Hazel and Albert Oakes.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson with the Rev. David Zandt presiding.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 12, 2018 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson and then again on Wednesday morning at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
