Obituary for Nancy Koebler
NANCY M. KOEBLER, age 65 of Johnson Creek, passed away Monday April 10, 2017 at the University Hospital in Madison surrounded by her family. She was born on July 22, 1951 in Watertown, daughter of the late Franklin and Ethyl (Fortmann) Brunk. Nancy graduated from Lakeside Lutheran, Lake Mills in 1969. She worked at Brandts Manufacturing in Watertown, Koehring in Brookfield,
Peterbilt Pac-Lease in Waukesha, Oneida in Johnson Creek. Her last position was at Badger Bank in Johnson Creek. She married Leo Koebler on October 9, 1992 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek. Nancy had many interests, including: crossword puzzles, attending craft fairs, cooking and baking for family and friends, deer hunting, Native American arts and crafts, gardening, tending to her flower beds. She took great pleasure and delight in helping her husband with their Wishing Well business.
She was an avid Green Bay Packer and Professional Bull Riding fan. She adored her animals and loved bird watching. She will be greatly missed by her cats Muffy, Peanut and PJ. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson. Nancy is survived by her husband Leo Koebler of Johnson Creek, Daughter Lindsay Kaun (Dan Wiese) of California, Son Kristopher Kaun of Sun Prairie, Step daughter Susan (Ross Thompson) Kleinschmidt of Kenosha. Grandsons Drake Kleinschmidt, and Zachary Kleinschmidt.
Sister Sharon (Chris) Radloff of Johnson Creek, Brothers Roger (Sue) Brunk of Johnson Creek and Mark (Barb) Brunk of Johnson Creek. She is preceded in death by her parents and son Brandon Kaun. Visitation for Nancy will be on Monday evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson and then again on Tuesday morning at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson with the Rev. David Zandt officiating.
